Oktoberfest Print E-mail

Many area clubs and organizations will be participating in this event. The Lewis County VISTA Literacy Program is leading the effort to gather donations from local businesses to sponsor this popular event. An estimated 1000 persons will attend.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  There will be food, music, games, crafts, clowns and prizes!  Families are encouraged to bring canned food to help stock the Our Neighbor and the Family Resource Food Pantries, but we want the event to be free to children and their families. Volunteers will staff multiple booths, each of which will feature a fun activity (and a healthy lifestyle message).  Food and beverages will be provided to the families.  Door prizes will be given out to encourage the parents to bring their children to this fun event. Business sponsors are invited to provide monetary support for the crafts, games, and entertainment or to provide prizes. We are planning for 1000 children and families members.  Your help is appreciated whether volunteering, sponsoring a booth, or giving a donation.
